The Heinkel 111-B is a bomber belonging to the German Luftwaffe, which during the Spanish Civil War collaborated and was part of the Condor Legion (Francoist Air Force) for the launch of aerial operations. On January 4, 1938, one of the bloodiest bombings of the Republican forces in Reus took place. On this day, the only shoot-down is recorded, with a fall into the sea, of a He-111. After being hit by the artillery of the Republican air defense in one of the fuel tanks, the aircraft moved away from the coast intending to reach the coasts of Mallorca.
